The map of the implementation of the regional head election campaign (Elections) in the last three days shows that the participants of the election are still using conventional methods. There has been no significant trend the campaign will turn to digital.

"The tendency of the (kampaye) method is still to use conventional means. If we look at the trend, almost half the methods chosen by election participants in the first three days—what we call—face-to-face restrictions of 50 people," said a member of the Board of Election Supervisors (Bawaslu) of the Republic of Indonesia, M. Afifuddin, in the Webinar "Adaptation of New Habits of Elections 2020: Campaigns through Social Media and Online Media" (2/10).

Data from the campaign supervision on September 28, 29, and 30 gathered by Bawaslu as of September 30, 2020 at 21.00 WIB shows there are 585 campaign activities in 189 districts/cities. Of the 585 campaign activities, limited or face-to-face meetings still dominated with a percentage of 43 percent (253 activities). Other methods such as the dissemination of campaign materials recorded there were 128 activities (22 percent) and the installation of props as many as 99 activities (17 percent).

Meanwhile, campaigns on social media had only 64 activities (11 percent) and online campaigns as many as 41 activities (7 percent).

In conventional campaigns, Bawaslu still finds violations of Covid-19 health protocols. There are violations in the form of excess capacity of participants, unregulated seating distance, and still many people do not wear masks. The violations were found in 35 counties/cities.
